Do you want to improve the lives of each of your family members? Extension Family and Consumer Sciences can help you reach your destination!
We encourage the development of families and individuals and foster their interaction with the environment. We generate knowledge through programs and research in family and consumer sciences. Our programs come to you in a variety of formats.
The Ohio State University Extension Family and Consumer Sciences programs and publications reach thousands of individuals across the state, addressing critical issues concerning individual, family, and community development.
Our five critical issues areas are:
* Building strong families through better parenting skills, conflict management skills and shared values.
* Improving nutrition and lifestyle choices from infancy through retirement.
* Managing time, money and other resources.
* Addressing community health and environmental issues.
* Managing multiple roles.
